What is RSS?
RSS, or Really Simple Syndication, is an XML-based format for content distribution on the Internet. In a nutshell, RSS is a new way for people who publish content online to notify people interested in that content whenever fresh content is made available online.
How does RSS Work?
Basically, when a new article is posted or a change made to a web page, RSS keeps track of the changes and delivers them to you. RSS feeds are most often attached to text, images, podcasts and video.
Who benefits from RSS?
Anyone who has been frustrated by the time it takes to find what you want on the Internet can appreciate the time-saving feature of RSS. If there are web pages you visit daily or regularly – let’s say you always read the front page of The Times of India and your best friend’s weblog – RSS eliminates the need to check for updates. Every time something changes on the page, it comes to you.
RSS feeds have become a must-have for a website. Traditionally website developers would have to use some scripting language to generate the XML required to create the RSS feeds on the fly or if it’s a small scale site, the user would have to manually mess with the XML syntax. All this only acts as another impediment to implementing RSS feeds.
We believe that technology should not hinder ones efforts, instead it should act as a catalyst towards achieving his goals. With expRSS, the user gets GUI where in he only has to enter the relevant details of the feed and voila!! The text automatically gets converted to XML and is uploaded and ready for consumption by everyone. No need to dirty your hands with the syntax and tediousness of XML.
That apart, expRSS lets the web user check hundreds of sites at once, notifies him of updates and takes the user where he chooses to go. From checking the Stock Market activities every minute to getting a ball by ball update of cricket scores, expRSS can do it all.

RSS is a family of web feed formats.
What is a web feed?
A web feed is a data format used for serving users frequently
updated content. A content provider publishes a feed link
on their site which end users can register with expRSS. When
instructed, expRSS asks all the servers in its feed list if they
have new content; if so, expRSS makes it available for you.
Basically, expRSS will let you check for updates/new content
in the sites you want and give you a summary or brief
description of the content.
